I am Sahil Jhawar and I recently graduated from University of Potsdam with a Master’s in Astrophysics. For my thesis, I worked on multi messenger astronomy (mostly optical counterpart) of BNS and bayesian inference and statistics.

Currently, I am working as a Research Assistant (software developer) at GFZ Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences Potsdam. Previously I was a student assistant at the Leibniz-Institut für Astrophysik Potsdam (AIP) in the Project Management group. Here, I was working on the 4MOST project.

My academic interests include Gravitational Waves and Multi Messenger Astronomy, Bayesian Inference, programing. I am also on a lookout for a PhD, so if you have any suggestions or opportunities, feel free to contact me.
